
Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) is pleased to announce the Climate Mobility Fellowship (CMF) for the 2025–2026 cycle. This fully funded, year-long program is designed to empower 12 youth leaders from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Islands—including four from Pacific Small Island Developing States (SIDS)—with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to address the challenges of climate-induced displacement, migration, and relocation.
Climate Mobility Fellowship Overview:
- Duration: 12 months (June 2025 – May 2026)
- Format: Hybrid (combination of in-person and virtual engagements)
- Stipend: $800 per month
- Additional Support: All travel and accommodation expenses related to fellowship activities are fully covered
- Application Deadline: March 15, 2025
Climate Mobility Fellowship Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: 18 to 30 years at the time of application
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English
- Residency/Nationality: Applicants must be nationals of or currently residing in countries within Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, or the Pacific Islands
Climate Mobility Fellowship Components:

Formal Learning:
- In-Residence Training (June 16–27, 2025): A two-week immersive program focusing on climate mobility frameworks, policy development, and academic learning.
- Virtual Remote Training (August 25–September 5, 2025): An online program aimed at enhancing practical skills in advocacy, communications, project development, and action planning.

Hands-on Experience:
- Fellows will actively participate in GCCM’s ongoing programs, engaging in policy research, data analysis, regional initiatives, strategic communications, and public advocacy.

Climate Mobility Impact Project:
- Each fellow will design and implement a project addressing a specific climate mobility challenge within their community or region, applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the fellowship.
