Requirements and Qualifications:

– Applicants must be scholars or practitioners based in Africa.
– The lead investigator must hold a PhD and have the rank of a full professor at an African university.
– Joint researcher-practitioner teams of six members are eligible, with team members based in at least three countries in Africa.
– Other team members can be early- and mid-career scholars or practitioners, with at least a master’s degree and two or more years of work experience.
– The project should reflect diversity in terms of professional, institutional, national, regional, disciplinary, gender, and generational backgrounds and experiences.
– Strong mentoring relationships between senior and junior team members are encouraged.
– Engagement with universities and regional practitioner/policy institutions is expected.
