WTO Young Professionals Program

WTO Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2025 (Fully Funded)

WTO launches call for candidates for 2025 Young Professionals Programme. The WTO Young Professionals Program (YPP) is a technical assistance program designed for young graduates to gain valuable hands-on experience related to international trade. It is a oneyear program in the WTO Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland. The selected professionals will be given a salary of CHF 3,500, medical cover, and travel costs. The program will start in January 2025.

A total of 109 professionals have taken part in the Programme since it was launched in 2016. It is an opportunity to spend a year in Switzerland. Young Professionals from developing and least-developed countries that are members of the WTO can apply. Through this program, professionals will Enhance their knowledge of the WTO and its functions and will develop skills relevant to a career in international trade. More details are given below.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a national of a WTO member state. The list of members is available here.
  • Have an advanced university degree in law, economics, and other international trade-related subjects relevant to WTO work.
  • have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience.
  • be fluent in English.
  • The age should not be more than 32 years.
  • Applicants must submit a letter of motivation along with the completed online application.
