The Bois Forte Reservation Tribal Government is offering an exciting Summer Youth Internship program for TERM (Tribal Education Replication Model) this summer. This program is designed for passionate individuals interested in learning about tribal governance, cultural preservation, and youth development. You’ll gain valuable experience working alongside tribal professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and make a positive impact on your community.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled as a member of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa or be a descendant of a member.
- Between the ages of 16 and 19 years old (verification required).
- Eager to learn, responsible, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to collaborate.
- Interest in tribal culture, education, and community development.
Responsibilities
- Assist with TERM program activities and events for younger students.
- Participate in cultural preservation projects led by elders and cultural leaders.
- Learn about Bois Forte Tribal Government operations and departments.
- Conduct research or create educational materials relevant to tribal youth.
- Contribute to community outreach initiatives focused on youth development.
- Other duties as assigned by the TERM program supervisor.
