Summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student for a Summer Laboratory Intern (Chemistry) position. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environmental testing laboratory. You will assist laboratory staff with various tasks, gaining valuable exposure to analytical chemistry techniques and real-world sample analysis.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a chemistry degree program.
  • Strong interest in chemistry and laboratory sciences
  • Some basic laboratory experience is a plus
  • Ability to be concise, organized, able to take instruction
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sample preparation tasks under the guidance of senior lab personnel
  • Maintain laboratory organization and cleanliness
  • Log and track samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Assist with quality control procedures as instructed
  • May perform basic chemical analyses with proper training and supervision
