Program Description:
The San Diego Padres are pleased to offer a Summer Internship program, providing an extraordinary opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience and learn from the best-in-class talent at the esteemed organization. Interns will have the opportunity to work on day-to-day projects and tasks in various departments, including Marketing, Finance, Sales, IT, HR, Ballpark Operations, Baseball Operations, Community Relations, and more. Throughout the internship, participants will work on both game and non-game days to ensure a comprehensive experience.
Interns will not only contribute value to the organization but also foster meaningful relationships through Lunch and Learns and Networking events. The program’s core objective is to provide insights into the workforce, offer a glimpse into the professional sports industry, and guide interns towards career paths that align with their interests and aspirations.
Recruitment and Hiring Schedule:
The recruitment and selection process for the Summer Internship Program commences during the winter and is highly competitive. The program runs for a duration of 10 weeks, from June to August. Selected interns must commit to the full program duration.

Program Requirements:
To be eligible for the Summer Internship Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled students who have completed their undergraduate Sophomore or Junior years of college by the start of the internship or are currently enrolled in a Graduate program. Recent graduates are not eligible for this opportunity.
- Applicants should demonstrate a passion for sports and a keen interest in the business aspects of the game.
- Applicants must maintain an exceptional grade point average in college.
- Applicants should possess a long-term interest in working for a professional sports team.
- Students who attend school in San Diego, are from San Diego, or possess bilingual skills are highly preferred.
