Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a pre-licensure nursing program
- Strong academic standing and a focus on obstetrics coursework.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative under supervision
- Stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Responsibilities
- Observe and assist registered nurses in providing patient care under direct supervision
- Monitor fetal heart tones and document vital signs
- Assist with patient education and preparation for childbirth
- Help with postpartum care for mothers and newborns
- Participate in unit operations and maintain a clean and safe environment.
