Do you have a passion for strategic sourcing and a knack for building strong supplier relationships? Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in forklift and material handling solutions, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist 1 – Indirect Purchasing to join our team in New Bremen, Ohio!

In this dynamic role, you’ll play a key role in optimizing our supply chain and driving cost savings.

  • Develop and Implement Strategic Sourcing Plans: Partner with colleagues to create and execute category strategies, ensuring our purchasing activities align with overall goals.
  • Manage Existing Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong connections with assigned suppliers, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues proactively.
  • Drive Cost Savings and Efficiency: Collaborate with other specialists to identify cost-reduction opportunities and implement effective sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure Product Quality and On-Time Delivery: Work closely with various departments, including Quality and Engineering, to develop and qualify materials, components, and equipment that meet our rigorous standards.
  • Negotiate Contracts and Manage Replenishment: Lead negotiations with suppliers, securing the best terms while upholding ethical practices. Optimize replenishment strategies and implement e-procurement solutions.

To be successful in this role, you’ll possess:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering (or 12+ years of experience with a high school diploma/GED for non-degree holders).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.

A plus if you have:

  • Manufacturing or engineering experience.
  • CPSM or APICS certifications.
