To bridge the gap between academic study and professional internships, Google is launching the 2024 STEP training program in India. This training program is specifically designed for second-year university students studying Computer Science or a related subject from underrepresented backgrounds.

Program Structure:
The program consists of three main components:
- Software Project.
- Skills-Based Training.
- Professional Development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s program, with a focus or intention to major in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- Excellent fluency in English communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a full-time degree program and planning to continue studies after the internship.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Availability to commit to a full-time internship lasting 10-12 weeks between May and August 2024 (specific dates will be communicated later in the application process).
