Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, engineering (electrical or computer), or a related field (minimum sophomore year).
- A strong foundation in computer security principles, including secure coding practices, vulnerability analysis, and threat modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or C++ and familiarity with security analysis tools (a plus).
- Experience with reverse engineering techniques and debugging tools (a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a passion for uncovering software vulnerabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a research team.
Responsibilities
- Participate in research projects focused on identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities in HP’s software products and infrastructure.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and exploit development (following ethical hacking practices).
- Assist with developing and implementing innovative solutions to address discovered vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and research findings, and present insights to the research team.
- Contribute to the development of internal security tools and automation for vulnerability detection and mitigation.
- Help document research findings and methodologies for future reference and knowledge sharing.
