The University Information & Technology Service Desk (UITSD) at Oregon State University (OSU) is hiring 20 student technicians for Spring 2024!
About the Job:
- Be the first line of tech support for the OSU community.
- Troubleshoot tech issues, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
- Work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Gain valuable experience in the tech field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students, faculty, and staff with their tech needs via phone, email, or in-person.
- Research and troubleshoot a variety of tech problems.
- Configure and maintain computers.
- Install software and document customer requests.
- Help train other technicians.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in high school, community college, or university (minimum enrollment requirements apply based on student type).
- Able to work at least 10 hours per week.
- Have at least one year remaining before graduation (Spring 2025).
- Excellent customer service skills and written/verbal communication.
- Eager to learn new things and interested in technology.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills required.
