The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) is part of UN agencies that are responsible for providing leadership, operational support, and oversight of the security management system to enable the safest and most efficient conduct of the security programs and activities of the United Nations System. By the overall management of the Principal Security Adviser of UNDSS Integrated Security Work-plan, Somalia, the obligatory will report to the Chief Security Officer.

Education & Qualifications Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- experience in investigations, security coordination, and operational planning.
- Diploma certificates in a field of study that is directly related to security, safety, and management.
- Security Certification Program (SCP) Certificate.
- Security Analysis Process and Practice (SAPP) Certificate.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible security management experience.
- Must have minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) years for candidates who possess a first-level University Degree.
- Must have at least two years of experience and exposure at the international level.
- Must have at least one year of experience in a conflict and conflict environment.
- Experience in security risk assessments, and security analysis.
Languages
- Fluency in the English language is Required (both oral and written).
- Having a knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) both oral and written.
