Summary:

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in a science-related field (biology, chemistry, etc.) (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in laboratory operations and scientific research (a plus)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with receiving, logging, and labeling incoming samples according to established protocols.
  • Organize and maintain sample storage areas, ensuring proper temperature control and chain of custody.
  • Prepare samples for analysis by performing basic tasks such as aliquoting, filtering, and dilution (as instructed).
  • Assist with data entry and sample tracking systems to ensure accurate sample documentation.
  • May assist with laboratory equipment maintenance and cleaning tasks (as needed).
