Royal Society International Science Partnership Fund International Collaboration Awards

 Summary:

These awards provide funding for outstanding emerging research leaders in the UK to establish research collaborations with international partners. Eligible applicants are newly independent researchers who are ready to lead and drive the research vision of an international research program. The objectives of the scheme include:

    • Supporting sustainable and mutually beneficial collaborative partnerships.
    • Encouraging innovative approaches to challenging research questions.
    • Building capabilities for conducting, managing, sharing, and applying high-quality research.
    • Facilitating knowledge exchange and skills development.

Application Requirements:

    • Newly independent researchers in the UK.
    • Collaboration with partners in selected countries: Japan, South Korea (co-funded with the National Research Foundation of Korea), Brazil (including Least Developed Countries), and South Africa (including Least Developed Countries).

Funding:

    • Up to £225,000 over three years (£75,000 per year) for UK-based researchers.
    • Additional funding available for ODA-eligible projects.
    • Funds cover research expenses, travel, subsistence, research assistance, and training.
