Royal Society Kan Tong Po Fellowship

The Royal Society Kan Tong Po Fellowship supports short-term visits (up to 3 months) for scientific collaboration between researchers in the UK/USA and Hong Kong.

  • Scientists based in Hong Kong

Duration:

Up to 3 months. Fellowships are expected to commence by March 2025; activities must start no earlier than 4 months after the closing date (June 5, 2024).

Fields:

  • Natural sciences, including biological research, biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics.

Deadline:

June 5, 2024

Program Details:

  • Funding of up to £3,000 for a one-off visit.
  • Supports collaborative research projects between scientists in the UK/USA and Hong Kong.
  • Award holders can apply for a one-year no-cost extension.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must hold a PhD or have equivalent research experience.
  • Applicants must be employed by an eligible research institution for the duration of the project (ineligible organizations include industrial/private companies, university spin-offs, and government bodies).
  • Applicants must be based in the UK, USA, or Hong Kong at the time of application.
