Qualifications

  • Must be a traditional track nursing student entering senior year in Fall 2024.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program within 12-16 months of starting PCI program.
  • Up to date knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to maintain concentration when subjected to frequent and varied interruptions and variable noise levels.
  • Knowledge of procedures; equipment; software and standards related to patient care activities that PCA/non-licensed role performs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding, repetitious movements.
  • Eagerness to learn and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) on the Peds Rehab unit
  • Assist with patient care activities, following established protocols
  • Observe and participate in various nursing procedures relevant to pediatrics and rehabilitation
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive patient care environment
