Qualifications
- Must be a traditional track nursing student entering senior year in Fall 2024.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program within 12-16 months of starting PCI program.
- Up to date knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to maintain concentration when subjected to frequent and varied interruptions and variable noise levels.
- Knowledge of procedures; equipment; software and standards related to patient care activities that PCA/non-licensed role performs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding, repetitious movements.
- Eagerness to learn and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) on the Peds Rehab unit
- Assist with patient care activities, following established protocols
- Observe and participate in various nursing procedures relevant to pediatrics and rehabilitation
- Contribute to a positive and supportive patient care environment
