Research Scientist Intern - Graphics at Intel Corporation

You’ll collaborate with industry leaders to conduct research, analyze data, and develop innovative techniques in real-time 3D rendering or other highly parallel algorithms. Your work has the potential to shape future graphics hardware and software products, impacting not only Intel but also the entire graphics industry and academic landscape.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field with a strong emphasis on computer graphics.
  • At least one year of experience in:
    • Strong modern C/C++ programming skills.
    • Developing advanced graphics algorithms (e.g., rasterization, ray tracing, physically based light transport, sampling strategies, acceleration structures).
  • Familiarity with at least one modern real-time graphics API (e.g., Vulkan, DirectX 12) and shading languages (e.g., GLSL, HLSL).
  • A plus: Publications in top-tier computer graphics conferences and/or journals.
  • Strong mathematical background.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research under the guidance of experienced scientists and engineers.
  • Analyze data and develop new techniques in real-time graphics or related areas.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of novel graphics algorithms.
  • Prepare and present research findings at internal conferences and potentially for publication.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of computer graphics.
