Data Analyst for Economic and Social Development at UN ESCWA

Summary:

The United Nations is looking for a Research Assistant (Data Analyst) to work on a project related to the economic and social development of Western Asia. The Research Assistant will collect, analyze, and present data on various topics, as well as draft documents and reports. The Research Assistant will work under the supervision of a senior staff member and will be paid according to the UN consultants’ rates.

ESCWA aims to promote cooperation and integration among the countries of Western Asia, and to address the economic and social challenges facing the region.

Aims:

The main objective of the job is to support the implementation of the ESCWA Data for Development (D4D) project, which aims to enhance the capacity of national statistical systems in Western Asia to produce, disseminate, and use high-quality and timely data for evidence-based policymaking and monitoring. The Research Assistant will assist in collecting, processing, analyzing, and presenting data on various economic and social indicators, as well as drafting documents and reports on the findings and recommendations. The Research Assistant will also help in organizing and conducting training workshops, webinars, and other events related to the project.
