Summary:
The Julia Taft Refugee Fund Project, established in honor of humanitarian Julia Taft, provides financial assistance to organizations working with refugees in southern Poland. Grants are awarded to support initiatives that address the immediate and long-term needs of refugees, fördern integration, and empower them to rebuild their lives.
Sponsor:
The U.S. Consulate General in Krakow, in collaboration with the Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM).
Eligibility:
- Non-profit organizations registered in Poland with a proven track record of working with refugees in southern Poland.
- Projects must directly benefit refugees residing in southern Poland.
- Priority will be given to projects that:
- Address the basic needs of refugees, such as food, shelter, and medical care.
- Support social integration and inclusion, such as language classes, job training, and cultural activities.
- Empower refugees to become self-sufficient, such as through entrepreneurship programs or skills development workshops.
Benefits:
Estimated Total Program Funding is USD 25,000.
