Build a solid foundation in quality control! The High Companies is seeking a motivated intern to join their Quality Control (QC) team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a career in engineering or a related field to gain hands-on experience in the steel fabrication industry. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learning essential quality control practices while contributing to real-world projects.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in a college program (ideally Mechanical Engineering)
- Eager to learn about quality control in the steel fabrication industry
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic understanding of mechanical drawings (a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with inspections of steel components during various fabrication stages
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures
- Help prepare and review repair documentation
- Interact with owners and engineering teams to ensure adherence to project specifications
- Assist with maintaining quality control documentation
