Job Details:
Job Title: Public Information Officer Unit: UNEP Job Place: NAIROBI Deadline: 12 ,March, 2024
Education & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public administration, governance, political science, climate/environmental science, environmental policy, soil science, or environmental engineering (or a related field).
- University degree in public international relations (or a relevant social science).
- Strong analytical and research skills.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of X years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, information management, statistics, and project management.
- Proven track record of using data to inform decision-making, strategy development, and execution.
- Experience working within the United Nations system (a plus).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in version control tools like Git.
- Strong database management skills (SQL preferred).
- Programming experience with Python (a plus).
Languages:
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process improvement mechanisms for data analytics tasks, ensuring technically sound project execution.
- Design and implement databases, data collection systems, and data analysis strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Generate insightful reports, dashboards, or other visualization tools to effectively communicate findings to management.
- Collaborate with colleagues across UNGSC Services to identify data analytics needs and support data-driven projects related to climate resilience.
