Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (minimum sophomore year preferred)
• Strong creative and problem-solving skills with a passion for bringing ideas to life
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in design software (e.g., SolidWorks, SketchUp) is a plus
• A solid understanding of design principles and user-centered design methodologies is a plus

Responsibilities

• Participate in all stages of the design process, from brainstorming concepts to creating functional prototypes
• Conduct user research and understand the needs of target audiences (may vary by project)
• Assist with developing technical drawings and specifications for new designs (may vary by project)
• Develop and present design concepts and prototypes to teams and stakeholders
• Participate in user testing and iterate on designs based on feedback (may vary by project)
• Gain exposure to the entire product development lifecycle from a design perspective
