Environmental Champion – OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP)
Are you a passionate environmental leader with a proven track record in project management? Do you have a strong understanding of international cooperation and a desire to make a difference? If so, we want to hear from you!
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team and lead the OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) in Francophone countries.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, business administration, project management/economics, public administration, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in project or program management
- Proven experience in coordinating environmental management programs
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making
- Experience working with the United Nations system
- Excellent track record of providing policy advice or technical cooperation services to government authorities at regional and international levels
Language skills:
- Fluent written and spoken English is required
- Knowledge of another UN language (French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is a plus
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the implementation of the OzonAction CAP in French-speaking countries
- Foster collaboration and ensure effective coordination with other international, regional, and national organizations
- Develop reports, dashboards, and other tools to communicate findings to management
- Facilitate dialogue and cooperation among governments in the region
