Key strategies for the implementation of the country program include capacity building, advocacy, gender mainstreaming, evidence, information and data collection, as well as the use of media to highlight and inform the general population of Sudan.

Job Title: Procurement Associate

Education & Qualifications Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary education is required;
  • Specialized training in Procurement; or a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or related field is desirable;
  • Procurement Certification from an internationally recognized provider such as CIPS (level 3) is desirable;
  • Willingness to take UN Women internal procurement certifications is required.

Work Experiences: 

  • At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, administration or related at the national or international level;
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) is required;
  • Experience in handling of web-based management systems, preferably Oracle Cloud, is an desirable.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required
  • Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish).

Career Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement procurement strategies in accordance with UN Women rules, regulations, policies and strategies.
  • Organize procurement processes for the MCO.
  • Organize contract management process for the MCO.
  • Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
