Process Development Intern - Summer 2024

Description:

The Process Engineering group at Michael Foods is providing an exciting internship opportunity in the field of Process Engineering. As an intern in this role, you will have the chance to gain hands-on experience in a Research and Development setting, working both in our state-of-the-art pilot plant and our manufacturing facilities. Collaborating closely with engineers and product developers, you will be actively involved in the development and production of innovative food products.

Outcomes:

  • Acquiring practical knowledge and application of fundamental process engineering principles.
  • Conducting process capability studies to assess and improve operational efficiency.
  • Creating process flow diagrams to visualize and analyze the various stages of production.
  • Developing skills in writing engineering reports to document findings and recommendations.
  • Gaining experience in presenting project proposals and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Assisting in project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

Qualifications:

Interns Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Currently enrolled or recently completed a graduate or undergraduate degree in an engineering program, with a genuine interest and aptitude for process engineering.
  • Preferably, at least three years into an engineering program.
