Power Distribution Technician Intern

The Facilities Electrical Power Distribution Technician Internship at Intel provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience supporting the critical electrical infrastructure that keeps Intel’s facilities running smoothly. Interns will work alongside experienced technicians to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient power supply for Intel’s global operations.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an electrical engineering technology program, a related technical field, or actively pursuing industry certifications (preferred).
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and safety protocols.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks on electrical equipment like transformers, switchgear, and generators.
• Support technicians with troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues.
• Learn and adhere to safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Participate in data collection and documentation of electrical system performance.
• Gain exposure to electrical design principles and power distribution best practices.
