The TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship Program offers fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to pursue research towards a PhD in chemical and biological sciences. The program is hosted by the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) in Karachi, Pakistan.
Sponsor: The program is sponsored by TWAS (The World Academy of Sciences) and ICCBS.
Eligible Nationalities: Developing countries in the South.
Host Country: Pakistan.
Degree: PhD.
Duration: Minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.
Fields: The fellowship covers fields such as agricultural sciences, structural biology, cell and molecular biology, biological systems and organisms, medical and health sciences (including neurosciences), and chemical sciences.
Deadline: The application deadline is 17 July 2024.
Program Details: Fellows conduct research at ICCBS in areas such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular medicine, pharmacology, physical chemistry, or analytical chemistry. The fellowship may be granted for a minimum of 6 months, and ICCBS provides a monthly stipend to cover living costs.
Eligibility: Applicants must be under 35 years old, hold a Master’s degree in natural sciences, be nationals of developing countries (excluding Pakistan), and be registered PhD students in their home country. They must also provide a certificate of good health and a “Registration and No Objection Certificate” from their home university.
