The Los Angeles Dodgers, a renowned professional baseball team, are offering an exciting internship opportunity as a Player Development Intern. This internship is part of the Baseball Operations department, with a specific focus on Player Development. The program spans three months and is located in Glendale, AZ. Interns selected for this position will receive a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, along with a housing stipend. Responsibilities:
As a Player Development Intern with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Gain exposure to various aspects of Player Development and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in implementing programs and initiatives that support the personal and professional growth of players.
- Contribute to the development of resources and materials for player development activities.
- Collaborate with the Player Development team to organize and coordinate events and workshops.
- Conduct research and analysis to support player development strategies.
- Assist with administrative tasks and documentation related to player development programs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A strong passion for baseball and a keen interest in player development.
- Eagerness to explore different facets of Player Development and contribute to process enhancement.
- Currently a rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
- Availability to live and work in Glendale, Arizona, for the entire duration of the three-month program during the summer months.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for working in a professional sports team environment.
- Proactive and innovative thinking.
