Education & Qualifications Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences.
  • University degree in public relations.

Work Experiences:

  • Work Experience in programme management and coordination.
  • Work Experience in leading large team to ensure the effective delivery of objectives.
  • Experience in United Nations public rules and regulations.
  • Experience in management large financial budgets / balancing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in partner negotiation in support of broad function or Country Office requirements.

Languages:

  • Fluency in the English language is Required (both oral and written).
  • Know another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) both oral and written.

Key Responsibilities Career:

  • Responsible for managing and lead WFP field operations within the area of assignment to ensure timely and effective deployment of food assistance programmes.
  • Responsible for ensuring efficient use of financial resources for achievement of set objectives.
  • Responsible for collaborating with governments and other partners in identifying where food assistance.
  • Responsible for developing and coordinating data gathering and monitoring systems.
  • Responsible for developing and sustaining liaison with local government authorities / international and local NGOs / UN agencies / donors and civil societies.
