Pharmacy Internship

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a pharmacy program (PharmD or equivalent) and eligible for an intern permit in New York State
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Commitment to patient safety and providing exceptional healthcare service

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications to inpatients and outpatients (under direct supervision)
• Participate in medication verification, compounding, and sterile and non-sterile product preparation
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and inventory control
• Interact with patients and answer medication-related questions (as appropriate)
• Assist with research projects or quality improvement initiatives (potential)
• Gain exposure to various pharmacy departments, including inpatient, outpatient, and specialty areas (depending on the rotation)
