United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is pleased to announce the She Leads for Peace Summer School Geneva 2025, scheduled from August 4 to August 15, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland. This immersive two-week program is designed to empower young self-identifying women poised to transition from academia to professional roles in the peace and security sector. Participants will engage in a transformative journey of self-discovery, leadership development, and networking with established leaders in the field.
Peace Summer School Geneva 2025 Highlights:
- Effective Leadership: Participants will explore and define their unique leadership styles, challenging traditional gendered notions of leadership. Through guided self-reflection sessions, they will develop essential skills to lead for peace and align their careers with their strengths and values.
- Experience Sharing: The program offers intergenerational dialogues with esteemed women leaders, providing insights into best practices in peacebuilding, authentic leadership, personal development, career growth, well-being, and resilience.
- Career Navigation: Through meetings with various organizations within International Geneva’s peace, security, and humanitarian sectors, participants will better situate their passions in the broader peace and security field. Conversations with practitioners will help define and focus career goals, identifying pathways into this space and empowering participants to pursue careers aligned with their passions and objectives.
Peace Summer School Geneva 2025 Eligibility:
The program targets young self-identifying women in their penultimate or final year of undergraduate or postgraduate studies, eager to commence their careers with the self-awareness necessary to be effective leaders for peace. It is recommended that applicants have 0-3 years of professional experience.
