Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical program (minimum of 6 credit hours).
- By the start of the internship, you should have completed one year (nine months) of your chosen program (anticipated graduation date a plus).
- Strong interest in parks, recreation, and natural resources (a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily park operations, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for visitors (may include cabins, campgrounds, or day-use areas).
- Collect fees, prepare deposits, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Assist with park maintenance tasks, ensuring cleanliness and safety of facilities (possible).
- May participate in park programming and educational activities (depending on the program).
- Contribute to resource conservation efforts, promoting responsible park use (possible).
