Summary:
This assignment is for an Operations Officer in Colombia, working with the UNVMC. The officer will support the Chief Joint Operations Centre in monitoring and analyzing political dynamics, security, and operational situations in Colombia. They will draft reports, maintain information flow, participate in simulation exercises, and provide support to crisis management. The assignment is onsite in Bogota, starting on April 22, 2024, and ending on December 31, 2024. The desired outputs include timely reports, efficient information dissemination, and support in organizing simulation exercises. The duration of this assignment is approximately 8 months.

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Political Science, International Relations, Foreign Affairs, Law, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in the field or headquarters in operations and political related (security, UN, peacekeeping, military, foreign affairs, peacebuilding).
- Political analysis and reporting Mandatory.
- Knowledge of management applications, such as Word processors, Excel, databases and presentation software.
- Knowledge of Legal affairs.
- Knowledge of Emergency response, relief operations, post-conflict humanitarian aid operations, human rights.
- Knowledge of Conflict analysis.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
