Online Translation and Interpretation Volunteers
Volunteer as an Interpreter and a Translator for UNICEF LACRO Meetings
Summary
Five Online Volunteers are sought to provide translation and interpretation support for meetings conducted by the Adolescent Development and Participation team. Their responsibility is to facilitate seamless communication between Spanish and English speakers by offering real-time interpretation (Spanish/English and English/Spanish) during online meetings. They must ensure clarity of communication, capturing nuances and context for effective understanding. Close collaboration with the Adolescent Development and Participation team is required to grasp meeting objectives, and topics, and anticipate translation needs. This opportunity allows volunteers to establish connections with the UNICEF LACRO Adolescent Development and Participation (ADAP) Team, gaining insights into the vital role of translation in advancing UNICEF’s mission and goals in the Latin America and Caribbean Region (LACRO).
