Summary:
This assignment involves graphic design work for the UNAIDS Regional Priorities document in Senegal. The volunteer will be expected to dedicate 1-5 hours per week for a duration of 3 weeks. The host entity is UNAIDS Western and Central Africa, and the assignment is conducted online. The volunteer’s tasks include creating initial design concepts for the 83-page document, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and finalizing the document in both print-ready and digital formats. The design should adhere to the guidelines outlined in the UNAIDS Brand Builder and Style Guide.

Requirements:
- The designer must have solid and proven experience (at least 2 years) in the design of documents and publications, with particular attention paid to layout, typography and the hierarchical organization of information.
- Proven mastery of graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is essential for this role.
- The designer must have an excellent command of the French language, both written and spoken, in order to understand linguistic nuances and ensure clear communication with the project team.
- Previous experience in designing long documents, such as reports or publications of several dozen pages, would be an asset.
- An understanding of the culture and regional sensitivities of West and Central Africa and of HIV/AIDS would be beneficial to ensure that the design of the document is adapted to the target audience.
- The designer must be able to collaborate effectively with the project team and take into account the comments and suggestions of stakeholders throughout the design process.
- It is crucial that the designer is able to meet the agreed deadlines for each stage of the project and deliver the final document on time.
- A presentation of samples of previous work, preferably including documents similar in complexity and style, would be highly appreciated when selecting the volunteer.
- The designer must be flexible and open to revisions and adjustments, while being able to maintain the quality and integrity of the design.
- The designer must undertake to treat all information relating to the project as confidential and not to divulge any details to third parties without prior authorization.
