Nurse Intern – ORMC – Nights – PRN

Orlando Health is seeking a motivated and dedicated Nurse Intern to join their team at Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) Nights – PRN/pool. Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
• Must have successfully completed a minimum of one semester of nursing clinical rotations.
• Proof of continued enrollment in a professional nursing program with no breaks exceeding one year.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent.
• Strong work ethic, compassion, and a commitment to patient care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently under supervision.
• Adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist registered nurses in providing direct and indirect patient care under close supervision.
• Perform basic nursing tasks such as vital sign measurement, medication administration (as delegated), assisting with ambulation, and maintaining patient hygiene.
• Document patient care activities accurately and concisely in electronic medical records.
• Observe and report patient conditions and changes to registered nurses.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds and educational opportunities.
• Maintain a sterile and safe patient environment.
