Documents required for Norwegian Scholarship

  • Certified copies of transcripts and degrees (diplomas) of your bachelor’s degree.
    1. Transcripts (both sides) from all the years in your bachelor’s degree (and Diploma
      Supplement if your School issued it).
    2. Transcripts from all years if it was an integrated run (Bachelor + Master).
    3. Diploma (Front page) confirming your degree (Bachelor/Master).
  • Certified English translations, if the originals (as listed above) are not in English or a Scandinavian language.
  • CV

  • Copy of your passport (not applicable if in the hold of Norwegian id-number).
  • Change of name (documentation is required if you have changed your name).
  • Motivational essay: Please describe your career path, your accomplishments, and your rationale for pursuing. an EMM Energy. The purpose of the motivational essay is to get to know you and to find out what motivates. you. The essay is not meant to be an academic article or a business memo, but rather your personal story. The essay should be between 500-800 words long.

BI reserves the right to ask for additional documentation that may be required for the admission process beyond the documentation stated under documentation requirements.

Applicants from outside of Norway are recommended to get a NOKUT approval of their education. Information about NOKUT approval can be found here.

Norwegian Scholarship benefits:

  • The Executive Master of Management in Energy Scholarship awards 25% off the tuition fee which will be deducted from the last installment if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.

Norwegian Scholarship Selection criteria:

BI Norwegian Business School and IFP School aim to build a diverse and international student body.

  • Priority may be given to applicants from selected countries and/or industries.
  • Other factors that may influence ranking can be cutting-edge expertise, other academic achievements, extracurricular achievements, and special personal achievements.
  • Preference is given to female applicants.
  • For the BI Scholarship the application deadline is 1 December and offers will be sent to selected candidates by 6 weeks before the start-up of the program.

Final decisions cannot be appealed.

Eligible criteria:

Candidates qualifying for and with a complete application for the Executive Master of Management in Energy.

How to apply:

Write a scholarship application letter, outlining why you are deserving this scholarship and how your background qualifies you for consideration. Include your CV in the document. For being taken into consideration, the document cannot exceed 3 x A4 pages (scholarship application + CV together).

Upload the scholarship application letter with your complete application for admission on the online application portal.

Application deadline:

Applications received by 15 January will be given priority. BI Norwegian Business School will continue to accept applications until the program starts, and no applications will be accepted after this date. Offers of admission will be made based on the availability of seats in the program.

Applicants from outside the EU who do not currently reside in Norway must apply by 10 January to allow time for securing a visitor’s visa.

For the BI Scholarship the application deadline is 1 December and offers will be sent to selected candidates by 6 weeks before the start-up of the program.
