Network Architecture Internship

Netflix Network Architecture Intern (Summer 2024)

Description:

At Netflix, interns are offered a personalized experience that mirrors the actual work environment. The company strives to match qualified interns with projects and teams based on their interests and skill sets, integrating them fully within those groups for the duration of the summer. Netflix prides itself on its unique work culture and values, making it essential for interns to familiarize themselves with these aspects.

Internships at Netflix are paid and typically last a minimum of 12 weeks. The company provides a selection of fixed start dates in May or June 2024 to accommodate various school calendars. Depending on the team, the 2024 summer internships will be located either at the Los Gatos, CA office or the Los Angeles, CA office, subject to prevailing conditions.

Netflix takes careful consideration of multiple compensation factors to determine the top-of-market intern pay. Market indicators are relied upon to determine compensation, while also taking into account the intern’s specific job, skills, experience, and location. As a result, intern compensation may vary based on these factors.

As a Network Architecture Intern, the individual will be responsible for actively creating and implementing test plans to evaluate the performance of existing and proposed network solutions across various network domains, including the network backbone, corporate offices, creative production workflows, and data center networks. This hands-on role will involve working in a test lab environment, where the intern will develop, execute, and document test procedures and analyze the resulting outcomes.

Additionally, the intern will contribute to enhancing the overall testing program for the network ecosystem. This work will be crucial in designing and constructing a test harness that prioritizes automation, enabling an automation-first approach to network testing.
