Qualification:
- Must be currently enrolled in a college program and planning to continue studies in Fall 2024, with a focus on Museum Studies and/or Marketing.
- Availability to work Monday-Friday for a total of 40 hours per week, with occasional extended hours during events that may include weekends.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstration of a creative mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Proficiency in Office Suite is necessary.
- Basic experience with Adobe Photoshop is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms including TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Must possess the permanent, legal right to work in the United States. The museum does not provide visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on the antique trucks exhibited at the museum.
- Creating and editing comprehensive content about archival materials.
- Managing the design process of informative exhibit signs and stands.
- Assisting with editing information on the museum’s app.
- Collaborating in the development of display vignettes to enhance the visitor experience.
- Supporting event preparation and coordination for the 2024 Truckers Jamboree.
- Monitoring and evaluating participants’ satisfaction with programs and museum displays.
- Capturing photographs of trucks, events, artifacts, and displays as required.
- Cataloging artifacts as necessary.
- Designing and implementing engaging activities for museum visitors.
- Generating diverse forms of social media content.
- Undertaking special projects and presenting the findings to the management team and fellow interns.
