Serve Breakfast and Help Women in Need at the WRC!

Ready to make a difference? Sign up to volunteer at our 2024 Breakfast Service at the Women’s Resource Center!

Before you sign up:

  • Review these guidelines and tasks to ensure a smooth and successful experience.
  • Please note: We provide the meal, so you don’t need to bring anything!

Guidelines:

  • Age: 16 years or older to be in the kitchen.
  • Group volunteering: Welcome! Include your group name during signup. (Max: 5 for breakfast, 10 for lunch, 7 for dinner)
  • Photos: No photos with clients. Group photos without clients and news media requests require approval.
  • Attire: Dress safely and appropriately for the kitchen. Closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes are essential.
  • Cancellations: Notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
  • COVID-19: Read our safety guidelines here: link to your COVID-19 guidelines.

What you’ll do:

  • Arrive on time: Promptness ensures a timely meal service.
  • Meal prep: Assist with tasks like preparing the meal.
  • Serving: Help serve meals to clients by placing entrées on their plates.
  • Clean-up: Maintain a clean environment by sanitizing, emptying trash, and sweeping/mopping.
  • Organization: Assist with stocking shelves in the kitchen and client pantry.
