Summary:
The assignment is for a Monitoring Evaluation Officer (Nexus Resilience and Private Sector) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with an expected start date of 04/04/2024. The duration is 12 months with a possibility of extension. The assignment is hosted by UNICEF and aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable cities and Communities.
Under the supervision of the planning, monitoring, and evaluation manager, the volunteer’s responsibilities include updating the indicator monitoring matrix, documenting activities in priority areas, preparing monthly reports, monitoring and reporting on performance indicators, conducting field visits, monitoring allocated budgets, ensuring proper presentation of office documents and reports, and assisting with other tasks as requested by the supervisor. The assignment aims to support effective management, accountability for results, and the advancement of sustainable cities and communities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Requirements:
- Master degree or equivalent in -Programme Management -Administration.
- 3 years of experience in or other relevant programs; experience with UN agencies is an asset, as is experience working within the UN or other international development organization.
- Good analysis, communication and reporting skills.
- Fluency in French.
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent writing, formulation, and reporting skills.
- Good skills in the production and editing of documents.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including members of grassroots communities, religious and youth organizations and authorities at different levels; familiarity with communication for development tools and approaches.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and efficiently in a difficult environment; ability to work effectively within a multicultural team composed of international and national staff
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, among others), email and the Internet; familiarity with database management; and office equipment.
