Location:

Greenfields, Western Australia (flexible – mentoring sessions can be conducted online or in-person, based on mutual agreement and safety considerations)

Role:

This role focuses on providing one-on-one mentorship to a child from a family facing difficulties.

Requirements:

  • Warm, compassionate, and patient personality
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to regular mentoring sessions (flexible scheduling options available)
  • Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing support sessions
  • Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (facilitated by the organization)

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with your assigned child regularly (frequency and format determined based on agreement)
  • Engage in age-appropriate activities that foster learning, growth, and development
  • Offer guidance, support, and encouragement in a safe and positive environment
  • Be a reliable and positive role model for your mentee
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of the child and family
  • Report any concerns to the Heavenly Homes International team
