“MDIF” stands for Media Development Investment Fund is a non-profit organization that concentrates on supporting independent media around the world. MDIF’s mission is to invest in and provide financial assistance to independent media outlets in countries were accessing free and independent media is challenging.
MDIF was founded in 1995 in New York and registered as a nonprofit organization and mission-driven investment fund that provides low-cost financing to independent news and information businesses in challenging environments, mostly in countries with a history of media oppression. MDIF’s work in media development specializes in impact investing and providing affordable debt, equity, and quasi-equity financing to help journalists build sustainable businesses.

Education & Qualifications Requirements:
Education:
- Have a University degree in communication and journalism.
- University degree in political science / social sciences and international relations.
- Have a University degree in public and international politics.
- Professional experience in communication with NGOs.
Work Experiences:
- Ability to produce engaging media communication materials in Arabic and English.
- Prefect skills in the development and implementation of communication, media products/ plans, and tactics.
- Good ability to conceptualize ideas and advocate consensus.
- Good in Presentation skills.
- Have the ability to work under pressure to achieve multiple deadlines.
- Full-Knowledge of understanding of NGO missions and goals.
- Knowledge of public and international politics.
Languages:
- Fluency in the English language is Required (both oral and written).
- Having a Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) both oral and written.
Key Responsibilities Career:
- Responsible for Transforming technical content into high-quality media communication materials.
- The ability to Foster new and existing media contacts/build institutional credibility and establish effective working relationships with media representatives across the Region.
- Responsible for Conducting regular media monitoring to analyze current events and public opinion to advise supervisors on emerging media opportunities.
- Have the ability to facilitate and organize media communications training workshops and forums for supporting knowledge communication capacity.
