Summary:

The Young Leadership Program (YLP) transforms exceptional young Kenyan talent into actual leaders over two years of full-time consulting training. As a member of a client project team, you will cooperate with clients and coworkers to resolve their most challenging business issues. After the training, fellows who demonstrate exceptional performance advance to become business analysts. Concerning McKinsey & Co. Established in 1926 by James O. McKinsey, a professor at the University of Chicago, McKinsey & Company is a management consulting firm located in the United States that provides strategic management advice to governments, corporations, and other organizations.

Aim and Benefits of McKinsey & Company Young Leaders Fellowship Program:

• You will participate actively in every facet of the client interaction while working in teams of three to five consultants.
• This involves obtaining data and evaluating it, creating and putting to the test theories, and creating and disseminating recommendations. Together with putting ideas into practice, you will have the chance to report findings to client management and work with client team members.
• Along with developing your current strengths, you will pick up new ones for the company. Along with regular coaching and mentorship from team members, fellows receive outstanding training. Together with official training, this support consists of a career-guiding partner allocated to you by your local office or practice.
• In addition, your local office will assist and advise you in choosing client projects, which will help you advance your career and expand your network.

Requirements for McKinsey & Company Young Leaders Fellowship Program Qualification:

• a master’s or undergraduate degree with a stellar academic record
• less than a year of consistent employment in any field
• demonstrable leadership experience in extracurricular activities and/or the workplace
• Superior analytical and numerical problem-solving abilities
• The capacity to cooperate with others in a group setting.
• Proficiency in communicating intricate concepts in written and spoken English.
