Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field (minimum of 12 credits completed within the last year).
- Possess a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles, including work design, process analysis, and data analysis techniques.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in improving manufacturing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience with industrial engineering software (e.g., Lean Six Sigma tools) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the analysis and improvement of manufacturing processes through techniques such as work measurement, time studies, and value stream mapping.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, identifying opportunities for waste reduction and process optimization.
- Utilize data analysis tools to identify trends, analyze production data, and recommend process improvements.
- Develop and implement solutions to address production bottlenecks and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Contribute to the creation and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
