Internship Opportunity:
Richemont, a global luxury goods company known for its jewelry, fine watches, and premium accessories, is offering an exciting internship program this summer.
They are seeking enthusiastic second-year law students who have a strong interest in legal matters and are eager to gain hands-on experience within an in-house legal department. This department provides legal advice to high-end luxury brands in the jewelry, timepiece, fashion, and accessories industries.
The Legal Intern will provide support to the Richemont Americas legal team, with a primary focus on tasks such as contract drafting and review, customer dispute management, and retail and legal operations management. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, exercise good judgment, and know when to be flexible or escalate issues. Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements, including digital and technology agreements, celebrity endorsement agreements, retail-related agreements, event and marketing agreements, consulting agreements, sponsorship agreements, releases, purchase order terms and conditions, and other third-party vendor agreements.
- Maintaining and updating contract templates and supporting contract lifecycle management tools and processes.
- Assisting the Assistant Manager, Legal Operations, in the development and management of various legal tools and systems, including an online legal team portal.
- Collaborating with internal clients and business teams to understand business deals, identify and mitigate risks, and provide concise and commercially-focused legal advice.
- Providing support for customer service, litigation, and regulatory matters related to contract and commercial disputes.
- Assisting in the development of training materials and sessions for business teams.
- Contributing to long-term projects based on departmental needs.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited J.D. program at a leading recognized law school, with a strong academic record.
- Preferably, some prior experience in transactional law gained through internships with increasing responsibility.
- Experience in the retail, luxury, or consumer products industries is advantageous.
- Ability to integrate legal and business considerations, think strategically, and collaborate effectively with business leaders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Collaborative and proactive nature, with excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Availability for full-time work throughout the Summer Internship Program (June 3rd – August 9th).

Salary:
Please note that students are responsible for arranging their own housing and travel. The hourly salary for this internship ranges from $20 to $30.
