Education & Qualifications Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in international law / human rights.
  • Professional Background in international relations.
  • Full-Understanding in political sciences.
  • Full-Understanding in public relations.

Work Experiences:

  • Professional experience in working in human rights / political affairs.
  • Professional experience in international relations & law.
  • Prefect experience in human rights.
  • Experience in international criminal law investigations.
  • The ability to work under pressure to achieve multiple deadlines.
  • Full-Knowledge of understanding of NGOs missions and goals.
  • Full-Knowledge in international public relations.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English language is Required (both oral and written).

Key Responsibilities Career:

  • Responsible for serving as the Deputy Head of Office and Represents the Office in the absence of the OHCHR Head of Office in Guatemala.
  • Responsible for supervising and coordinates the office’s human rights monitoring and documentation work.
  • Responsible for working with UN and non-governmental programmes in the country to integrate human rights perspective.
  • Responsible for ensuring human rights issues, including their gender equality dimensions considerations.
  • Responsible for providing legal advice and analysis on cases, public policies, capacity building to national authorities and legislative proposals.
