Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care program (CoARC or CAAHEP approved) and have completed at least one semester
- Strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles and procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered with a commitment to high-quality care
Responsibilities
- Assist respiratory therapists with various tasks under direct supervision, following established protocols (e.g., patient assessment, data collection, equipment preparation)
- Participate in patient education and provide support to patients and families
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the respiratory department
- Learn about advanced respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures
- May assist with research projects as assigned.
