The Science Panel for the Amazon (APA) is seeking talented and enthusiastic individuals to join its Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). The YAC will play a crucial role in shaping the SPA’s work and ensuring that its findings reach a wider audience.
About the SPA Youth Advisory Committee
The YAC will be composed of 8-12 members, representing diverse backgrounds and expertise from across the Amazon region. Members will serve a two-year term and will be responsible for:
- Providing advice and guidance to the SPA on its scientific agenda and outreach activities.
- Helping to mobilize the next generation of scientists in the Amazon region.
- Promoting the SPA’s work and findings to a broader audience.
Who Can Apply?
We are seeking young scientists and advocates who are:
- Passionate about the Amazon rainforest and its conservation.

- Fluent in English, Portuguese, or Spanish.
