Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in accounting or a related field
- Strong academic record with a focus on accounting coursework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a plus)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn basic Japanese business terms (a plus)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Assist senior auditors with various audit procedures, including testing internal controls, analyzing financial transactions, and preparing audit working papers.
- Gain exposure to US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Japanese accounting standards.
- Participate in client meetings (as appropriate) and develop strong communication skills.
- Contribute to the team’s understanding of Japanese business practices and cultural considerations.
- Participate in research projects related to the JBN client base.
